We, the undersigned, stand united in affirming Parents’ Rights in South Carolina, and in support of the “Parents’ Rights Initiative” aimed at empowering parents with the tools and rights necessary to guide their children’s education. This initiative includes the following key rights:

SC Parents’ Bill of Rights

1. Right to Transparency

• Full access to curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching materials.
• Clear guidelines on age-appropriate content in all educational resources.

2. Right to Input

• Influence over significant curriculum changes.
• Meaningful participation in school board decisions.

3. Right to School Choice

• Freedom to select public, private, charter, or homeschooling options.
• Funding that follows the student.

4. Right to Notification

• Immediate notification of any medical or psychological services provided at school.
• Parental consent required for health care decisions involving their children.

5. Right to Unifying Values

• Assurance that Critical Race Theory (CRT) and divisive ideologies are excluded from the curriculum.
• Promotion of a unified American identity and traditional family values.

6. Right to Safe Content

• Removal of pornographic and sexually explicit materials from school libraries and classrooms.
• Implementation of strict content guidelines to ensure age-appropriate learning environments.

7. Right to Historic Integrity  

• Teaching American history and civics that honor our nation’s heritage and principles.
• Curriculum that fosters patriotism and unity.
